Preparation:

For feeding your baby, add 1 level scoop of powder to each 30 ml of water (freshly boiled and cooled). Please refer to the feeding guide shown on the can and note this table should only be used as a guide. All babies are different and may require more or less than is shown. Kendamil First Infant Milk should be fed on demand. If you need more advice talk to your healthcare professional.

1. Wash hands, then sterilise your feeding utensils according to manufacturer’s instructions.

2. Fill kettle with 1 litre of freshly run tap water (do not use repeatedly boiled water). Boil and leave to cool for 30 minutes, so it remains at a temperature of at least 70ºC. Measure the required water into a sterilised bottle.

3. Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of levelled scoops to the bottle. Use the straight edge inside the lid to level each scoop.

4. Place on a sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well to dissolve powder.

5. Cool to a natural body temperature. Always test the temperature of the liquid on your wrist prior to feeding your baby.

Storage:

Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity, ideally at a temperature between 10 °C and 25 °C (50 °F–77 °F).
Always seal the container properly after each use to prevent contamination. Use the product before the “use by” date indicated on the packaging to ensure optimal safety and nutritional quality, and consume the contents within four weeks of opening.
Do not refrigerate or freeze the powder, as low temperatures can affect its texture and quality.
Keep the product away from strong-smelling substances to avoid odor absorption, and store it out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.

* Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water/scoops, and do not add anything else to milk feeds

* For hygiene reasons, always freshly prepare feeds and do not prepare in advance. Use made up feeds within 2 hours of preparation. Discard anything leftover at the end of the feed. 

* Do not heat feeds in a microwave, hot spots may occur which could cause scalding

* Introduce a cup or beaker as soon as possible to prevent prolonged/frequent contact of teeth with milk feeds which may increase the risk of tooth decay

* Use sachet within 3 weeks of opening
